Producer, author, advocate, entrepreneur, mother:  Tonya is the co-founder and co-president of ToniK Productions where she has produced of scripted and unscripted films  such as I Sit Where I Want: The Legacy of Brown v. The Board of Education, The Watsons Go to Birmingham and Monster and continues to create content across all media platforms.   Tonya is also the author of the best selling books Gotham Diaries, Please Baby Please and Giant Steps to Change the World.  Tonya knows that none of these things would be possible without her health.  Throughout her life, Tonya has stood up for women, helping them to lead meaningful and healthy lives through awareness education research and mentoring.  An advocate for proactive care, Tonya worked with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to create films like Crisis in the Crib: Saving our nations Babies and the “ A Healthy Baby Begins With you “ campaign to help bring an end to infant mortality.  She is the founder of a vitamin supplement business, Movita as well as the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Healthy You Now a women’s health platform. Tonya lives in New York City with her two children and her husband Spike Lee.
